Juba, 04 March 2023; In what seemed to be a violation of the Reconstitute peace agreement, President Kiir's unilateral decision to sack defense Minister Angelina Teny is another hurdle and setback for the peace agreement and extension of the Revitalized Transitional government of National unity. 

Puok Both Baluang, press secretary and executive director in the office of First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar, said the Republican decree issued by President Kiir on Friday evening to remove Defense Minister Angeline, a member of SPLA-IO is unilateral and a new cycle of violation of the Revitalized agreement. 

In the related decree Mr. Kiir issued a presidential decree and sacked the Minister of Interior Mahmoud Solomon, a member of SPLM from Kiir's party, there is no apparent reason made for the removal of the defense minister and Interior Minister respectively. 

SPLA-IO under the leadership of First Vice President Machar accused Kiir of switching the two ministries, according to the Presidential decree, the country's top security ministry of Defense will now be headed by SPLA/M whereas the SPLM-IO faction's first vice President Riek Machar will take the ministry of interior. 

This publication has learned from reliable sources that Kiir's SPLM party is in the final stage of merging the ministry of electricity and Dam together with the Ministry of roads and bridges. Whereas the Ministry of industries will be merged with the Ministry of investment and most likely Hon Angelina Teny, the now former defense Minister will be moved to head the mining ministry.
