SPLA- JUBA IS PREPARING AN IMMINENT ATTACKS ON AGORO, PAJOK, AMEE, MOLI, OPARI AND PAGERI, MAGWI COUNTY EASTERN EQUATORIA STATE.

n
Critical Alert, Juba to attack Mawgi County Eastern Equatoria State

BY ANDREW OLWENY. Nimule 31 January 2016; A High level, senior official and a major general in the SPLA-Juba revealed to this news site that the SPLA general Headquarter is in its final phase of preparations for an immanent attack against the bases of SPLA-IO in Eastern Equatoria State. It is not clear what has triggered such an unthinkable plan to violate the peace agreements given the overall commander of the Eastern Equatoria Division; Gen. Martin Kenyi has ordered his forces as parts of the peace deal to stay in their camps and he himself is committed and is physically present in Juba. "I think the Dinka lead government is not interested in peace and doing every thing possible to sabotage this peace implementations, otherwise what is the justifications for this planned attacked now", he asked.

"If Kiir is planning an attack on these forces how about an attack on Kenyi himself in Juba? Is this an equivalent to attacking Kenyi himself and what shall such do to the already badly damaged peace by no other than Kiir" He pondered.

According to the informant, the potential targets and locations to be raided by a special commando forces reinforced by the criminal and notorious militia of Kiir, the Presidential units of Tiger battalion mainly recruited from President Kiir’s home of Gorgial, supported by Helicopter gunships, includes Pageri areas, Kerepi, Moli and Opari in Madi area, while in Acholi area the locations are Agoro, Amee, and Pajok.

This same militias group is now stand accused by UN panel committee of experts on south Sudan of having committed ethnic cleansing against the Nuer in Juba during the darkest hours of our nation, the black December 2013.

The senior military officer who hails from the Equatoria region, who spoke in condition of anonymity, warned that the attack on the SPLA-IO bases is very imminent and is expected to be executed within the next three days, possibly tomorrow or the day after. He said the chief of general staff Paul Malong has been consulting with his senior military officers. And more troops have been deployed from Western Equatoria and Bahr el Ghazal and that his own troops are in standby waiting for the final orders to move to the areas mentioned above.

He said the move to deploy forces from Bahr el Ghazal to crush rebel groups based in Eastern Equatoria state was rejected by many senior generals from Equatorian region during the consultation phases held in General HQ in a closed door meeting.  The generals from Equatoria see no reason to attack the bases of the rebels given the rebels group in EES have not attacked government position and are part of party to cessions of hostilities.

According to the general, any attack on positions of the rebel force in violation of the peace agreement will be viewed by most of them in the Ranks of the government as declaration of war against Equatorian and many of them are angered after the recent senseless fighting in Western Equatoria state where many civilians were killed and displaced.

He said the Equatoria senior general felt that their views and voices were disregarded and not paid attention to. According to the senior general from Equatoria, if indeed Paul Malong with his group go on and defy the rejection of war by sons of Equatoria in the government army, the move will derail the ongoing efforts to form a Transitional Government of National Unity and will also cause deep rift among the army and will encourage many sons from the Equatoria to desert the army because they feel the recent attack in WES is designed to silence the voices within Equatoria, which called for equitable power distributions, the contrary response by Juba  reveals perhaps how Juba is not ready to accept coexistence of all ethnic groups in the country.

He further said recently Juba has taken several reconnaissance spying flights over the area to spy and monitor the movements of the alleged rebel forces. He cautioned the civilian population to be vigilant because the plan is to repeat what has happened in WES. He further cautioned the youth from the mentioned areas to move out in order to avoid being arrested or killed as youth are at risk of and are prime target of the Dinka led government, and warned that what happened in Yambio recently must serve as an example.

He questions the motives behind the selection of the army deployed to Juba now in readiness to make a move to those places.  He said most of the forces are from Bahr el Ghazal and majority of them are not part of regular forces.

This tells us the Equatorian sons, there will be yet another massacre on civilian, special in Ma’di corridor, which has been the prime, target for the Dinkas. He said this plan came at the time Martin Kenyi is taking part with the advance Team of SPLA-IO and he is physically present in Juba.

He conclude by issuing a strong warnings that should innocent lives be lost in this senseless campaign masterminded by none other than the malignant Malong, the ramifications will be felt in Juba and no Dinka shall be safe anywhere in Equatorian lands, if the Dinka armies are purposefully targeting Civilians as they have done so far all over south Sudan.

SSLN has reached out to Captain Theophilus Badru Pitia, with a unit of the SPLA-IO Eastern Equatoria Division Magwi County, for comments. He said “we do not know what rebels they are coming after because according to the peace deal we are no longer rebels but a regular army except under the SPLA-IO and we are in observant of the peace deal as was commanded by our overall Chief, Dr Rick Machar and our Eastern Equatoria Division Commander, Gen. Kenyi. He, however said, “We, nevertheless, are on stand by and will, without hesitations, respond forcefully and decisively when provoked by the belligerent and peace enemy, Paul Malong."

He said, "Luckily this report shows, those who shall face the other end of our guns are strangers to the areas and should not be deceived by the helicopter gunships that never win wars." He further said, "SPLA-Juba, a tribal army should come prepared with large body bags if and when they step into our forests." “We are committed to peace but we shall respond decisively to any provocations and teach Juba a lesson we thought they have learned by now, however we welcome them to come for some more if death instead of peace keeps knocking at their doors, we shall comply and respond to them in a kind but with determined resolves” He added.

    Nikalongo,
I know how it pricks to hear beloved ones being exposed. And that's the feeling you're going through everytime Kiir and JJ's names are being mentioned here on this liberal website/SSLN. Look, I have no personal reasons to be angry with the duo but am just like any other peace lovers, very discontented with the direction this country is being steered to. So to you it is lesser of evil to go after people's life than to talk about the private lives of those going after people's life? This is exactly what you seem to be supporting unconciously but you have thought it wrong. I am in pain, just like any other south sudanese who are unhappy with this murderous regime and by exposing those behing the political wheel i get relieved as i can envisage their destiny too, as as however much they self-style themselves to be supernatural or even immortal beings, they are not as such.

Until they start valueing people's lives, i would have no grain of apology for my provoked utterances, for that's what gives me relieves and hopes.

    Mr. Nicholas Osobi

    Osobi,
As a matter of fact, I am not uneased by what you say about those gentlemen or how sickly they are. My concern is how they govern my country. That said, I suggest you find other better ways to relieve your pain. As far as we know, Kiir's health has not diminished his propensity to violence. Instead of concentrating on his health, we can do ourselves a lot of favour discussing how to make our country safe for her Citizens.

  • upernile

Editor, you have posted false and misleading information that promotes violence in South Sudan.
These Areas you mentioned as have Rebels of Dr. Riek is actually respected people who are none violence communities. I know them well because started my Primary School in Motoyo, Nimule. And I’m a Luo. So Acholi and Madi are peaceful people. Find some different group you could deceive.

  • Nikalongo Sanduksanduk

    Editor,
Stop the false and malicious allegation about me. When did I defend Kiir in my writings? I am against your lies that are only meant to scare our people. You know there are no SPLA-IO forces in the areas you mentioned and yet claim attacks in those areas are imminent. Unknown to you, your lies are causing unnecessary fear, distress and tension to people in those areas. Why do you do that? If you have informants in the offices of Malong, Kiir, Akol, Wani and Mamur as you claim you do, you are putting their lives in danger. That the government has curtailed press freedom is not a license for you to lie on a public forum like SSL. I understand the risk you take, but people will respect your editorials not for the volumes of lies you spit our but for the quality of information you disseminate. You will not win by lying to people. Liars are never trusted and you are making yourself untrustworthy.
Regardless of how much you want to make the conflict national, the fact is that Dinka and Nuer are sworn enemies looking forward to give a national character to centuries of mutual animosity. People like you and editorials like yours is a reason the war keeps on going because the parties feel they have support beyond their borders. There are about 4-5 million strong Dinka and Nuer warriors to fight their war. They do not need your support. If anything, tell them to stop fighting and sue for peace. Under the ruthless watchful eyes of Riek and Kiir, thousands of civilians have died since the beginning of this war, as fighters from both sides (Dinka and Nuer SPLAs militia) have pillaged and raped through towns and villages, displacing in the process hundreds to a life of misery in UN camps within and in neighbouring countries. As you are reading this, many of our citizens are slowly starving to death as fields lie fallow and markets empty. Yours and my support to the warring factions will not bring peace but help increase the level of violence and expanding the war to peaceful areas.
Editor, I am aware that there are people who wanted the war expanded to Equatoria. Those voices few as they are, are today celebrating because their prophecies are being met. The sons of Equatoria you said died on the front-lines are victims of misinformation and malicious propaganda by warmongers and thieves in Equatoria. No Equatorian should be involved in fighting a partisan war. That is a war of contest between the Nuer and the Dinka. Insecurity and instability being experienced in some parts of Equatoria will soon end. We will defend peace in Equatoria by preventing war. That has always been the stand and it will remain so. Like you in the SSLN, I am against all those responsible for bringing our country and people to their knees. Settlers, herders and IDPs in Equatoria causing insecurity will one day be thrown out. In politics, nothing lasts forever. Where is Bashier and his gang of Jihadists? One time, one day, the hunters will be hunted down.

Alcohol and politics can not go together but the JCE are unaware of this. Shifting the war to Equatoria will simply be a game changer and will mark an end to the the accidental regime of this sickly president once and for all.

People like Nikalongo should start getting worried because his Hero JJ will then cease to be a Hero once his fellow HIV positive Husband Kiir is ousted from his accidental job. So sad for him! :p:p:p

    Mr. Nicholas Osobi

    Osobi,
If you want to be relevant, discuss issues. Going after the health and private lives of your adversaries is not a sign of eloquence. JJ is neither my hero nor a personal friend. I do not know JJ and I do not know you. If you have personal problem with JJ, his health and marital status, take it somewhere else. On the forum, we are looking for the best way to confront problems facing our country and people. We will disagree about how to do things and that is normal. If only our leaders did what the editor allows us to do on this forum, there would be peace.

Editor thanks for your kind and clear respond to Nikolongo, This confused Nicolas is sick in mind or is just a dinka pretending to be Lotohu, since his birth this individual has no sense of belonging and he has been pro jienge in everything being it here in south sudan liberty or south sudan nation. He Nicolas has opposing view all the time, this explains the individual is a dinka trying to identify with Eastern Equatorian tribes of Latohu or Acholi. he in my analysis is a Dinka lost boy who grew up in Eastern Equatoria state to be specific he could be among the boys Garang brought and encamped at Amee SPLA red army camp. He Nikolongo loses his gut and has no sense of identification.

The thing is the Jieng people have for a long time planned to rule South Sudan. The strategy they have used is elimination of those whom they see as a threat to this notion. For that reason when Kokora was effected, they ran into the bush and began to implement this dirty plan. That is why many people who fought for South Sudanism were their first targets. Unfortunately the tools for liberation that was got in the name of freeing South Sudan from the yoke of Jallaba colonialism were employed to exterminate our dear people. The jieng ensured they destroyed the power of other tribes either politically or militarily. This what they have been doing even during Anya nya I era. Nuer were at least organised and so they definitely became a threat to their authority as such pseudo coup emerged as a pretext for disorganising and eliminating them moreover their principle plan was actually mass murder of Equatorians. And this thought still lingers in their minds. Unfortunately they have used our weak leaders to that. However the power of evil never lasts long. For this reason the people of Equatoria must be alert always.

  • Okenyi Philip Ochan

Thank you South Sudan Liberty , and thank you Mr. Olweny for your professionalism and determination to inform us and the world at large. This senseless world will final be fought in Equatorian soils, our people should not undermine this. We should begin to prepare for all out war. Dinka have undermined the power of unity. All the able body should join and those unable should mobilize resources to support of boys in the struggle.
