TWO FOREIGN TOURISTS WERE KILLED BY ADF IN QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK IN WESTERN UGANDA

Kampala, 17 Oct. 2023; Uganda police have released a statement this evening about the killing of foreign nationals whose nationalities and genders were not being revealed. The statement from Uganda police said two foreigners and one Ugandan national had been killed in a cowardly tourist attack in Queen Elizebeth National Park. 

"We have registered a cowardly tourist attack on two foreign tourists and a Ugandan in Queen Elizabeth National Park" partly read the statement. 

 

The police statement further said, " The three were killed, and their Safari vehicle burnt" The statement, however, added without giving details. " Our forces responded immediately upon receiving the information and aggressively pursuing the suspected ADF rebels" 

 

The police further send condolences messages to the families of the victims." We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims. 

ADF has been intensifying its attack on civilian installation including the attack on a school in western Uganda this year which left scores of learners and their teachers dead. 

 

President Museveni deployed the Uganda People's Defense Force (UPDF) almost two years ago deep inside DR Congo to destroy and defeat ADF despite the heavy deployment of UPDF to DR Congo to contain the attack inside Uganda by ADF, the brutal rebel group continues to infiltrate havoc in Uganda and DR Congo
