Moscow, 28 Sept 2023; President Salva Kiir arrived in Moscow today after being humiliated by President Joe Biden's administration. A source within President Kiir's delegation to the UN General Assembly who preferred to speak in anonymity for fear of reprisal in his life said President Kiir was frustrated after his attempt to meet Biden in the White House yielded no result, and His Excellency the President of the Republic felt humiliated. 

Meanwhile, another disappointment and humiliation awaited the President, upon arriving in the Russian capital Moscow His Excellency was welcomed to Russia, Kiir was welcomed by Russian Deputy Minister for Foreign Andrey Rudenko. “We do not have their respect our president cannot be received by the deputy minister which is another embarrassment” a South Sudanese official was quoted as saying. 

In a notable turn of events, President Salva Mayardit of the Republic of South Sudan visited Moscow following his attendance at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. However, his reception in Moscow has raised eyebrows and led to profound disappointment. 

Upon his arrival in the Russian capital, President Mayardit was greeted by Russian Deputy Minister Andrey Rudenko. Russian President Vladimir Putin was absent from the reception, who typically receives visiting heads of state. 

This lower-ranking reception has prompted questions and speculation about the nature of South Sudan's relationship with Russia and the significance of this diplomatic gesture.
