THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF MILITARY INTELLIGENCE OFFICER, JOHN KHEMIS IS KILLED BY DINKA BOR

Torit, 19 May 2022; The Deputy Director of the military intelligent officer was murdered on Thursday evening in Torit, he was identified as Maj John Khamis an Equatorian, by the time of filing this report, South Sudan Liberty News cannot readily establish the tribe of the deceased. 

 

Sources within the national army, South Sudan People defense force (SSPDF) who asked for his details to be concealed said Maj John Khemis was killed by the Dinka Bor cattle herders who have been following their raided cows from Mugali, Magwi County last week. 

The same source said Maj John Khemis died on duty, he was assigned to counterintelligence about the movement of the cattle raiders and cattle herders who have crossed from Jonglei into Lafon County in EES as reported by this publication. 

 

Early this week this publication has sounded alarm about the huge colon of heavily armed Dinka Bor youth, the heavily armed youth who according to several eyewitnesses have crossed into Lafon, they were said to be following the cattle raiders, and however, in Lafon County, they have already committed untold atrocities against unarmed civilians. 

 

In related developing, it seems the long-anticipated revenge killing against Madi people in Nimule has started, Madi Medical assistant identified as Patrick who is working in Muagli health center has been killed by cattle herders from his home in Mugali this evening (Thursday evening) SSLN can't readily establish more details about the deceased Medical Assistant as movement in town is risky and the situation is volatile. 

 

Meanwhile, on Wednesday authorities in Nimule border town discovered a topless body of a man in Motoyo area. It was not immediately clear to who the topless body belonged. 

Police in Nimule gets stranded with the topless body of a man since there is no one who came to file a case of a missing person, and the local authorities in Nimule will be forced to bury the body. 

 

The situation is worsened by the insecurity in town, people are not able to check who is missing as many have fled to neighboring Uganda in search of safety. The other problem is South Sudan like many other African countries lacks the technology of DNA to identify the deceased man. 

 

A lot of suspicious activities are going on as people began to check who is missing, in a related story Dinka Bor herders knifed a Madi man and left him half dead, however, he was discovered by the neighbors and they rushed him to Nimule hospital, the doctors in Nimule hospital were able to save his life. 

 

The situation in town is fragile, most people in the outcast of Nimule moved to town to stay with relatives.
