Dinka Bor herdsmen committing ethnic cleansing in Magwi county.

Mugali, 9 May 2022; Mugali residents of Magwi county are terrorized, as of 7 May 2022  by Dinka Bor cattle herders who arrested and tortured several charcoal burners, the men were in the bush to harvest (remove) their charcoal near mount Olupi in Mugali while they were suddenly  surrounded by the heavily armed cattle herders. 


In Bilinya village located in Mugali Payam, the cattle herders are now openly grazing their cows in the garden of a man identified with his last name as Tiondi, South Sudan Liberty News confirmed  this after our correspondent gained access into the area this afternoon. The garden of cassava measuring 5 hectares has been flatly eaten up by the cows. 


Our correspondent who did not identify himself as a reporter for the safety of his life witnessed this afternoon firsthand and saw hopelessness in the eyes of the fleeing residents from several villages in Mugali towards Nimule as the herders resorts to  barbaric act of terrors and killings and displacements.


The herders also erected several roadblocks along the Nimule-Mugali road, mainly they are targeting young men and the nearest roadblock was erected just 3 kilometers from Nimule before Nimule airstrip.  The herders have beaten several elderly men and women who are escaping to seek safety in Nimule.  


In related news, this publication can now independently verify the names of the some of the youth arrested by the herders this week on Wednesday, unfortunately, three of them are now conformed dead, while six youth are unaccounted for, this publication has obtained and seen the retrieved bodies of the three, their bodies are mutilated beyond recognition, their killers inserted sharp wood from one side of the head to the other. 


Among the dead are Andruga Joseph, Thomas Azo, and Guwere, while those who are unaccounted for considered to be dead are, Isaac Ica, Ojja Charles, and many others whose names are not yet readily established. 


Last night in fear of retaliations from the hosts youth their lives, some Dinka in Nimule briefly crossed and spent the night in Elegu, Ugandan side.


Unconfirmed information obtained by this publication indicates that the herders are also planning to ambush passengers' vehicles moving along Juba-Nimule, they are planning to hunt down people of Madi and Acholi origin.  


South Sudan Liberty news calls upon the Government of Salva Kiir to relocate these cattlemen  back to their native lands as their presence has created insecurities and their livelihood is in expenses of the lives of the locals who ar now literally homeless and hunted.
