Violence Continues Around Magenis


Sudan People Liberation Movement in opposition under the leadership of Riek Machar through its military spokesperson, Col Gabriel Lam Paul has lunch vigorous campaign of accusation against the forces led by form SPLA-IO chief of staff Simon Gatluak Dual and general Johnson Oling.

In the letter seen by this publication the spokesperson of SPLA-IO confined in their good haven in Juba, accused the forces under Lt General Dual of wanting to derail the implementation of the Revitalized peace agreement.

“In the morning hours of 27/12/2021, the defected forces of Kitgwang launched an aggressive attacks against the SPLA-IO base of Amut. The SPLA-IO forces withdrew tactically to minimize casualties.” partly reads the statement issued by SPLA-IO Juba based under the dysfunction first Vice President Machar.

The mouth piece of Juba based SPLA-IO under paralyzed and cripple leadership of Machar says, the attack on their bases in Upper Nile will not deter them from implementing the peace agreement.

“This continues violence against the SPLA-IO is a clear declaration of war against the people's movement during the time when every suffering South Sudanese wants peace. The SPLA-IO, calls the South Sudanese citizens to remain calm as this aggression will not derail the ongoing implementation of the Security arrangement in particular and the R-ARCSS in general.” says Lam.

Col Lam, further says the SPLA-IO Juba based group will remain committed to the implementation of Transitional Security arrangement, he however, says their forces reserved the right to self-defense.

“The SPLA-IO remains committed to the Implementation of the Transitional Security Arrangement but reserves the right to self-defenses when aggressed.
