Aweil, 18 April 2021; South Sudan Minister of Natural disaster who is on the Revitalized transition government of Nation Unity on the ticket of other opposition Party (OPP)Minister Peter Mayen is in the spotlight after he has disrupted women football game in Aweil, on Saturday, the Minister of Disaster according to several eyewitnesses seemed to be angry to his wife who left three months only baby whose name and gender are not revealed at home in the case of a babysitter and when to play soccer.
According to the source who spoke to SSLN, Minister Peter Mayen who is said to be a close cousin to President Kiir upon reaching and seeing his wife on the pitch his attempt to match officials to remove his wife off-pitch felt in deaf eyes and then he releases several rounds of bullets in the air from his pistol.
"The national minister for Humanitarian disaster Peter Mayen Majongdit this afternoon disrupted a football match at Aweil Freedom Square as he has demanded why his wife was allowed to play in the match." said one of the eyewitnesses.
His wife, Aluel Garang, nicknamed Aluel Messi is part of Aweil Women’s Football Club. The match which was played on Saturday afternoon shortly got aborted has taken place between Aweil Woman's FC and Juba Super Star woman's FC which is part of South Sudan Women’s National League Tournament.
Another eyewitness said. "Minister Peter Mayen stormed the football pitch asking the organizers to stop the match and let his wife come out. The minister was not happy the wife left their three-month-old baby at home and joined her teammates for the game."
According to the same source, the minister was told to wait but he was so impatient and had to fire his pistol in the air disrupting the game. The game was later aborted to allow the minister to go home with his wife.
By Saturday South Sudanese expressed their discontentment towards to minister, asking the President of the Republic to issue a decree to remove the minister from his position because he is a disaster, therefore, he is unfit to manage the disaster.
