Nairobi, 22 oct.2020; The South Sudan head of Mission to Eritrea, Ambassador Michael Nyang collapsed and died instantly while waiting to do a transaction in the bank in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, on Thursday afternoon.
A source from Kenya Commercial Bank where Ambassador Nyang collapsed and died who preferred anonymity because he is not authorized to speak to media said Nyang, 66, reportedly developed a breathing problem while at the Kenya Commercial Bank branch in Nairobi.
According to the source, Ambassador Nyang dies shortly after developing breathing complications before an arrangement could be made to take him to hospital, he said it was believed the South Sudanese diplomat should have succumbed to covid-19 related illness.
According to the statement issued, minutes later by KCB, the KCB statement confirmed the incident saying the patient died during a visit to KCB at Moi Avenue Advantage Center.
Kenyan police said a team of medics had been assigned to ascertain the cause of the mysterious death of a South Sudanese diplomat on Kenyan soil.
