GEN JJ OKOT THREATENED TO SUE MA'DI COMMUNITY, CHURCH LEADERS

Juba, 29 June 2020; South Sudan Liberty has learned with dismayed that General Johnson Juma Okot, aka JJ Okot, is madly angry and has threatened to sue the Ma’di community elders and church leaders for defaming by revealing the details of the meeting he had with the above-mentioned group.

This publication was to categorically refute any links or political affiliation SSLN has with the above-mentioned group.

We do not affiliate, associate, or favor any particular tribe in our desire to serve the nation. Our reporters are professional, ethical, and authentic.

We understand our article published on 22nd of June 2020: “Enemy of Ma'di, an ally of Dinka, you must integrate with Dinka in Nimule before removal of SSPDF from Ma’diland” is a piece of damning evidence staring all in the eyes that is bound to destroy his image beyond repairs.

We stand firm by our publication and we will not disclose the source within the ranks of SSPDF general HQs in Juba. Over the months, we have gathered enough evidence, including photographic evidence about the private militia training camp you JJ Okot illegally train in the mountains of Agoro in Acholi sub-region and the illegal lucrative logging of mahogany timber in Owiny Kibul, in Ma’di sub-region Pageri administrative area.

Rather than chasing shadows of Ma’di community and church elders who are clearly not our source, we urge you to rise to the challenge and give us a true account of the events in your words which we shall be more than happy to publish. It is pointless trying to intimidate these elders by summoning them to yet another of your meeting of Sunday 28th June 2020 to try extorting confession out of them.

In the meantime, should you wish to engage us legally, we are willing to speak to our lawyers and meet you in a competent, transparent, and legitimate East African Court of Justice in Arusha - Tanzania but not any Juba Kangaroo court.
