Please read the message of Hon Hussein Abdelbagi he posted after he announced he has tested positive with COVID-19

Three things in life – your health, your mission, and the people you love. For that matter, I have this evening publicly announced to have contracted the virus after the National laboratory returned 4 positive results including myself and 3 supporting staff. I immensely welcome the laboratory report. Doing this accounts for the love I have for my family and the people of South Sudan as I happened to know my health status. Consequently, the Pandemic is within the community and it makes a good point for everyone to know their status to help in containing the virus.

Last week, I ordered mandatory testing on members of the National taskforce as a way of encouraging the public to test for the virus; this was done in high spirit and it should continue. So, I take a quick turn to quarantine myself as I shall only be discharging my duties from home through videoconferencing.

Conclusively, I am pleading with everyone to show some discipline in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic by keeping observing the rules of physical distancing and wearing face masks in public. Remember, in the process of resolving the problem, a spirit of ignorance doesn't yield a positive outcome in any way rather than exacerbating the problem. However, be responsive and obedient in life and have a healthy life.
