Juba, 19 May 2020: South Sudan's information and postal service Minister Michael Makuei Lueth who doubled as government spokesperson has tested positive with coronavirus, commonly known as COVID-19. This came just under 24 hours after the country's first vice president Dr. Riek Machar and his wife Angelina Teny who is also the country's defense and Veteran Affairs Minister have both tested positive with COVID-19 on Monday. 

The rumors of Minister Michael Makuei's COVID-19 status has been on social media, he, however, refuted the rumors of his ill fate saying it was fake news. 

In related news South Sudan cabinet Affair minister Dr. Elia Martin Lomoro today came out and blasted those who circulated rumors that have been circulating in social media, Lomoro says he heard people said he is sick in critical condition fighting for his life in Dr. John Garang Memorial institution, and other said he is even dead. 

" Yesterday 18 May 2020, the South Sudan Public Health Laboratory confirmed my test results as COVID-19 negative," said Dr. Elia Lomoro in a written statement seen by SSLN. 

" Now, let me speak as a UK proven research scientist. If one is COVID-19 positive, it does not necessarily mean you will die" boasted Dr. Lomoro. 

" such patients if free from a history of complicating diseases such as chest diseases, diabetes, and other disabilities can be treated and recover," he added. 

" To my family, friends, loved one, and political allies I am healthy, focused, and strong. I truly hope this statement will ally your fairs and concerns," said Dr. Lomoro. 

" Finally, I thank you all for your concerns. it is nice to know how people feel about you when you are alive rather than dead," he wrote. 

Unconfirmed source said President Kiir could also have contracted the disease, an aid to his wife is said to have contracted the disease and admitted in a private health center in capital Juba, however, South Sudan Liberty news cannot independently verify this. 

In related news development Dinka paramount chief, Deng Macham Agui has died today in capital Juba, the circumstance surrounding his sudden death remain unknown.
