Juba, 8 March 2020: After spending almost two days in a closed-door internal consultative meeting, this publication has understood from the reliable source that SPLA-IO has reached a consensus to share its Ministerial posts as follows; according to the source, the delegates from different regions of South Sudan who had heated but honest report it has awarded Western Equatoria state with Ministry of defense, the delegation has also allocated the Ministry of Federal Affairs to Central Equatoria State, while their Eastern Equatoria State neighbor has taken Ministry of Mining.
The same delegation in its two days sitting has rewarded the oil-rich region of Nasir to head the Ministry of Petroleum which is the country's economic powerhouse.
The troubled region of Akobo gets the Ministry of Health, in the same meeting the region of Fangak is set to head the Ministry of General Education.
Meanwhile, the oil-producing region of Unity states is tasked to head the Ministry of Peace. The people of Warap the home state of President in Machar's group of SPLA-IO will be responsible for the Ministry of Gender, Child and social welfares.
The delegation in its sitting awarded the people of Western Bahr El Ghazal state one of the regions which have experienced the turmoil of civil war to head the Ministry of Power and Electricity.
The group has given Deputy Minister of Interior to Jonglei State and Deputy Minister of Finance goes to Eastern Equatoria State.
In the governorship, the deputy commander in chief of SPLA-IO, Mr. Henry Odwar has fixed his eyes on a big ball, this has cleared the early speculation that perhaps Nathaniel Oyet former Juba University lecturer will become the governor of gold reach EES.
The source further indicates that Machar's group run short of manpower, as a result, the group decided to awards the post of the governor of Lakes state to Telar Deng who at moment holds no membership of SPLA-IO. Machar was forced to appoint Mr. Telar because there are no other potential candidates from Lakes state given Lakes state remained pro-government during the civil war.
This publication understood that earlier the fearless Lt Johnson Oling who hails from Collo/Shulluk tribe of Upper Nile threatened Machar to award him with the post of Upper Nile governor, an unnamed source earlier told this reporter that General Oling vowed to retain his forces if his demands are not met.
Henry Odwar, according to the source, who asked his identity to be withheld, said Mr. Odwar prefers to be given the post of the governor because he prefer to focused on the development of his home state.
