Juba regime is agitating and paying their loyalists to turn out for mass demonstrations against IGAD and the 10 states.
Juba February 10, 2020.Just less than 24 hours after the pivotal talks between President Kiir and Dr. Riek Machar in trying to bridge the gap between the two leaders have collapsed, Juba is quick to switch gear to plan B. an insider who attended cabinet briefing meeting on Monday afternoon said the two outspoken Ministers namely cabinet affairs Minister Elia Lomoro Martin and information minister Michael Makuei Lueth are leading a deformation campaign to organize citizens to demonstrate against the peace guarantor’s proposal to return the country into the ten constitutional states.
This reporter has understood from the reliable source that all the 183 paramount chiefs from South Sudan's 183 counties are to be summoned to come to Juba on 16 February, the source said any paramount chief who failed to turn up will risk being arrested for disobeying the order. Along with this, they plan to pay for mass demonstrations against IGAD and the 10 states.
The informant divulged that the purpose to summon all the 183 paramount chiefs are to collect their signatures in the pretext that the chiefs have consulted with their subjects and all the people under their authorities have rejected the idea of returning the country to 10 states because the 32 states are the popular demands of the people of South Sudan.
According to the reliable source with inside knowledge in the cabinet meeting, fund has been made available, he said both Michael Makuei and Elia Lomoro asked for the Minister of finance to release $20 million to organize demonstrations in all the major towns and centers in South Sudan. he, however, said the initial budget proposal plan by the two incumbent Ministers was rejected by some members, in the end, the two architectures master planers secured $ 3million to organize the demonstration in Juba, Yei, Torit, Nimule, Kapoeta, Wau, Bor, Rumbek, Aweil, Malakal, Bentiu just to mention few.
Meanwhile, in Nimule, vice President James Wani Igga has camped for almost one week, but his effort didn't yield any fruit as the consultation plan in Nimule backfired people as the people rejected his appeal to maintain the 32 states, he Mr. Igga asked the attendances to give their view simply by raising their hands, he first asked for those who are for the 32 states only four people raised their hands, then he asked for those who are against, almost everyone was against the 32 states, people in Nimule particularly the host Madi community want the country to return to 10 constitutional states.
Our correspondent who attended the meeting like any other ordinary citizen said James Wani Igga was visible disappointed because of the people of Nimule and Madi people voted down the proposal of 32 unconstitutional states.
Meanwhile, back to Juba in a bet to secure the loyalties of his puppet ceremonial governors, the 32 plus 1 (32+1)state governors [Abyei] President Kiir purchased each governor brand new Toyota Land Cruiser costing a total of $3 million, each Land Cruiser was purchased /cost $90.000 plus.
The agitations and massive demonstrations planned is to give the Juba regime cover and to embolden their position for Kiir’s illegitimate unilateral and single-handed decreed tribal mini-states.
