The Jieng Council of elders Hatches plans to replace Dr. Riek Machar in the upcoming Transitional government of National Unity.

A credible source inside J1, known as the Presidential Palace, revealed to South Sudan Liberty news that in an attempt to find a way to disallow Dr. Riek Machar be part of the Revitalized Transitional Unity government, due to be formed in the coming Month, President Kiir convened a meeting with his trusted tribal advisory group the Jieng Council of Elder/JEC. The central agenda according to the informant is to withstand the mounting pressures from the Opposition and international communities specially the US and UN in forming a government that includes Dr. Riak Machar.

The President and his tribal allies, the JCE, resolved that the November formation of the government of national unity should go as planned specially now that SPLA-IO made their stand known, giving them needed covers  to exclude him, and be substituted by a hand picked individual within the SPLA-IO group in Juba.

The called for inclusiveness by the US and opposition groups was said to have angered the the JCE, this prompted them to seek to meet with Kiir face to face. The tribal advisory elders were said to be unhappy and came to advise the President to frustrate Machar and his group by not accepting the findings of border commissioner and reject going back to the constitutional 10 states leave alone implementing the security arrangements.

In the closed-door meeting which was chaired by the President himself, the tribal advisory council asked Kiir to find an individual within the group of Machar, particularly among the members who are in Juba. Other council members said Machar should be set against his wife Angeline Teny, the Jieng council of elders according to the informant said Machar should be isolated in exile while his wife given Machar's position, calculating that without adequate power base and lack of funds for campaigns, the council said Angeline will not manage the campaign therefore she can easily be defeated by the incumbent Kiir who desires to be president for life.

On the other hands, Council's senior member Ambrose Riig, preferred Machar's deputy Henry Oduwa to replace Dr. Riek Machar designed to set the Nuer against the Equatorian, a final nail bed against the SPLA-O.

The council in the other hands asked the President to provide funds and military logistic to the breakaway SPLA-IO forces in Maiwut, led by Major General Ochan.

The General who defected from Machar is now in Juba. The Council sees Major general Ochan's group as a critical piece to weaken the SPLA-IO capacity in Maiwut and other area in greater  Pagak, the Council asked the President to rearmed the breakaway forces under general Ochan with modern weapons and use them to fight against Machar's remaining forces should the country plunged back into civil war.

They predicted that the SPLA-IO is currently at its weakest position and facing imminent collapse, therefore, the President should not yield into any international pressures but keep frustrating and applying delay tactics.

The Jieng tribal advisory council according to the informant further advised Mr. Kiir to absorb the jieng militia group, the  Mathiang Angoor into  the special Presidential unit guards, they advised Kiir never to rely on the so-called VIP special protection forces to be trained and deploy to protect the President and others.

They also want the President to create additional barracks with special Presidential protection forces in Yei, and Nyoangwa, Pageri County to combat the resistant forces hostile to his regimes and its agendas.
