75 EMPTY CIVILIAN HOUSES TORCHED BY GOVERNMENT FORCES IN MOLI ANDRU, PAGERI COUNTY, EASTERN E. STATE
Nimule, September 24, 2016; Report coming from Moli Andru Payam, Pageri County Eastern Equatoria State, alleged that government forces who were involved in heavy gun fires with unknown gunmen on Friday, indicates after the government forces were miserably defeated and scattered by unknown gunmen, they the government forces have now taken revenge against civilians properties, per the report coming from Moli this morning, held the government forces responsible for torching down more than 75 civilian empty houses in Moli Andru after the fighting on Friday.
Almost all the residents and populations of Moli Andru were forced to leave their homes by government forces almost three months ago and they are now in the refugee camps in Adjumani and Yumbe Arua Districts, Uganda.
Moli Andru is the ancestral home of Pageri County designated commissioner Bridger Emilio Igga, whose position is always controversial in favor of government soldiers rather than condemning the army for their wrongdoing, including ransack civilian houses, arbitrary arrests, extra judiciary execution of unarmed civilians and stealing row cassava from the fields of ordinary citizens.
As reported here before yesterday the government forces in the area have involved in three hours long gun battle with unknown gunmen in which government forces were said to have been repulsed and defeated. At this point as information are very scarce, therefore this news site is unable to get information from the battle ground about the numbers of causalities from both sides, however unconfirmed report indicates that government forces have taken heavy causalities as they fell in an ambush unexpectedly.
