FORMER DETAINEES WILL SIGN THE KHARTOUM PEACE DEAL

SSLN has confirmed from a reliable source indeed the former detainees expressed reservations of the Khartoum Peace deals but declared that they will sign it. They urge the Sudanese mediators to address their concerns which include the issues of the 32 states unconstitutional states.

The group last week refused to sign the deal stating more work needed to be done and that it did not address the root cause of the war in South Sudan.

The spokesperson of the group, stated that the referendum has no way of being true referendum since more than half of those affected are outside the countries or internally displaced and the timeline means most opposition political leaders cannot get to their localities.

The Main Opposition against Kiir, The SPLA-IO under the leadership of Dr. Riek Machar have signed the deal.

Many political observers in the nation we talked to who prefer anonymity believe the peace deal at its current form with the 32 States will not hold as the catalyst for this war was Kiir claiming South Sudan for his Kin, the Jiengs, and the war was never because of Power struggles as the world erroneously understood thanks to JCE PR campaign and the Obama Administration that favoured the Jieng and Kiir government over the 63 Ethnic groups.
