HEAVY FIGHTING ERUPTED OUT IN KAJO-KEJI COUNTRY ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Just hours after the warring parties trade accusation for igniting fresh fighting in Wau, less than hours before the Khartoum framework agreement come to effect on 30 June. 

Fresh fighting broke out in Kajo-keji on Sunday afternoon, according to several civilians who are fleeing from the scene blamed the government forces of attacking the bases of the armed opposition in Sokare, Mangaltore, and other villages. 

The new wave of fighting in Kajo-keji county located in Yei River state has been confirmed by deputy military spokesperson of SPLA-IO, Col Lam Paul Gabriel. 

Col Lam accused the government forces of violating the Khartoum framework agreement which is a biding document sign between the two leaders to simultaneously in which they both declared a permanent ceasefire. 

"The regime is on the offensive again in Kajo Keji. At about 2:25 pm this afternoon [Sunday], the regime’s forces left their base of Sokare and attacked the SPLA-IO defensive position in Kendiri. The fight is still ongoing as the regime’s force is advancing towards Mangalatore" said Lam Paul.
