Nimule, 08th June 2017; The death toll along Juba-Nimule highway attack this morning rose to 15 dead and 12 seriously sustained life threatening injuries. However the figures are expected to change as there are still people unaccounted majorly military servicemen.
By most recent reporting 9 Military vehicles have been completely destroyed by the unknown gunmen, Meanwhile the government claimed three buses were burnt, as reported by the south Sudan police spokesperson Daniel Justin Boula. Initial report reveals several government soldiers were killed including senior intelligence agent Mr. Amigo.
Meanwhile in Nimule border town, several relatives and families of the Military held funeral mourning for their loved ones.
This confirmed majority of the dead as per funeral held in Nimule are mostly SPLA military servicemen escorting the convoy. Juba-Nimule A43 highways has seen occurrence of attacks, so far no one or group has claimed responsibility for this morning's attack.
